Linked Organisation of Local ICT Authorities

Linked Organisation of Local ICT Authorities - LOLA - is a non-profit organisation of ICT professional associations.

These associations comprise of professionals who work in local authority and other local public service provider organisations, and their suppliers, in different countries.

The LOLA-network comprises more than 3 million IT-ers supporting hundreds of thousands of local governments, serving more than 320 million citizens and managing more than 35 million devices.

About

LOLA (Linked Organisation of Local Authority ICT Societies) is a non-profit organisation of ICT professional associations.

These associations comprise professionals who work in local authority and other local public service delivery organisations, and their suppliers, in different countries worldwide.

 

LOLA will work collectively and collaboratively to achieve benefits to these organisations, their members and the citizens they serve.Our core values are based on our desire to provide a high standard of local authority services to our citizens through the effective deployment of Information and Communications Technologies.

We intend to achieve this through joint projects, sharing of good practice, products and services, joint influencing of national governments, and engaging the ICT supply industry.

Articles of
Association

The Articles of Association are the by laws that govern LOLA. 
The Association originally adopted legal under Belgium law in 2012. 
An addendum was passed to update the by laws in 2025. 

LOLA Committee Representatives 

The LOLA Committee is made up of Associations from across eight (8) countries.
Representatives from each association make up the LOLA Commitee. 

LOLA Executive Committee

LOLA has four (4) official office titles that make up the Executive committee.

These are the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. 

Projects  

The LOLA Committee is committed to working on projects that benefit the international members and Municipalities / Local Government.

Webinars 

The member associations of LOLA continue to promote the work happening across the globe with one another, to educate and share for others to use and improve. Webinars have been a great way to showcase this work for all their association members.

Our respective associations work hard to create resources for our municipalities / council members to access and scale. The combined efforts of each association brings international best practice and perspectives.

Resource Hubs 

The LOLA committee has access to many association resource hubs. 
 

The 2026 / 2027 project currently being worked on includes the International AI Resource Hub.
